SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Smurfit Westrock has reinforced its global leadership in paper-based packaging by winning 15 WorldStar Awards, recognising its innovation, creativity, and strong sustainability focus.
Among the standout solutions were an eye-catching point-of-sale protein pack, premium whisky packaging delivering a memorable unboxing experience, and a smartly engineered pack for interlocking 10-litre bottles. Sustainability was the defining feature across all winning entries, many of which form part of the company’s Better Planet Packaging portfolio.

The WorldStar Awards, organised by the World Packaging Organisation, celebrate the world’s most innovative packaging solutions. The 2026 awards ceremony will be held on May 8 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
