MONTREAL (Scrap Monster): Smurfit Westrock said it has been named to TIME’s World’s Best Companies list for a third consecutive year, improving its overall position in the 2026 ranking.
The global paper and packaging company ranked 190th overall, up 15 places from the previous year. It also placed 12th in the engineering, manufacturing and medical technology category.
Ranking Measures Workforce, Growth and Sustainability
TIME and Statista compile the ranking using an independent methodology covering three main areas: employee satisfaction, revenue growth and sustainability transparency.
Smurfit Westrock said its continued inclusion reflects progress across business performance, employee engagement and environmental responsibility.
The company was also included in the Forbes Global 2000 ranking earlier this year.

Smurfit Westrock cited several sustainability initiatives from 2025 alongside the recognition.
These included the introduction of its Better Planet Targets and the issuance of more than $1.3 billion in green bonds to support sustainability-related initiatives.
