Smurfit Kappa Honored with Eight 2020 Worldstar Awards

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Smurfit Kappa’s innovative and sustainable packaging solutions have won eight 2020 Worldstar awards. This demonstrates the company’s leadership in delivering high-quality products.
The Rollor Packaging, used to protect clothing from being creased during delivery was one among the products selected for the award. The product has been a major success in the fashion industry. Another product that won the award was ‘eCommerce Pedal Pack’ for replacement bike pedals.
Litovel beer multipack and the clever pack for Chivas Scotch whisky also won awards in the Beverage category. The above products were recognized for logistics and carbon savings. Also, ‘Smart Edge-Protector’- a customized product made for Stroh-an Austrian spirit producer also won the prestigious award.

The ‘Touch Box’ and the ‘Skewed Insert’ packaging solutions won accolades in Transit category. Both these products had made significant contributions in reducing delivery times and carbon footprints. In addition, the ‘Easy-Rep’ display emerged as the winner in the Point-of-Sale Category.
Commenting on the achievement, Saverio Mayer, CEO of Smurfit Kappa Europe noted that the company is delighted and honoured to have been recognized with the prestigious awards.
