SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Electronics major, Panasonic announced the launch of Take Back for Tomorrow program, aimed at promoting recycling of consumer electronic devices. The announcement was made at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) currently being held in Las Vegas, USA.
As per announcement, the company intends to start the pilot program electronic personal care devices such as shavers and trimmers, with plans to expand to other consumer products in future. The program presents an opportunity for customers to responsibly recycle electrical components, thereby preventing them from ending up in landfills.

In order to participate in the program, consumers need to sign up at PanasonicMultiShape.com. The website will generate pre-paid label for consumers to easily pack and ship the device for recycling. The cost of shipping the end-of-life product will be covered by Panasonic along with its recycling partner, ERI.
The participants of the program who send in an eligible device for recycling will receive 30% off the purchase of a new Panasonic MultiShape device.
The components from the collected electronic devices will be recycled by ERI at their facilities in a responsible manner. The li-ion batteries from the devices will be sent to Redwood Materials, where they will be recycled and remanufactured for use in Panasonic’s electric vehicle (EV) batteries.
