SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Three North American Plastics Industry associations have issued a joint statement urging immediate ratification of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).
The joint statement noted that the USMCA would greatly benefit the economies and plastics industries of all the three member countries and the millions of employees supported by it. It applauded the Mexican Senate for ratifying the agreement. Further, it urged the U.S. Congress and Canadian Parliament to ratify the trade agreement at the earliest. The ratification would ensure certainty to investments in new technologies and hiring of more workers, the statement noted.
