SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): A state-of-the-art sophisticated electronic waste sorting facility has been unveiled in Regensford, The facility is being designed and implemented by STADLER Anlagenbau GmbH in association with its subsidiary weeeSwiss Technology AG and Immark.
The sorting facility boasts enhanced processing capacity and improved quality of recycled materials. The plant has a processing capacity of up to 12 tons of electronic waste per hour across both shifts. The facility employs latest ballistic separator device to sort electronic waste. The automated fire detection and extinguishing systems ensure safety and durability of the plant.
In the initial stage, the materials are manually sorted and hazardous components and valuable materials removed. The material then goes through a series of shredding and sorting processes.
The plant is capable of processing a wide range of electronic waste, in accordance with the European Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) and has a high recycling rate of up to 95%.
Patrick Wollenmann, Project Manager at Immark stated that the unique and innovative design of the plant ensures efficient recovery of printed circuit boards and other valuable materials from electronic waste.
