SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Torex Gold Resources Inc. has released its 2025 Responsible Gold Mining Report. The report highlights major progress in workplace safety, environmental performance, community investment, and emissions reduction.
The company reported industry-leading safety performance, with a lost-time injury frequency rate of 0.07 per million hours worked for employees and contractors. Also, voluntary employee turnover declined to 4% from 8% in 2024.
On the environmental front, the company recorded zero reportable environmental incidents or spills during 2025. The enhanced water management systems associated with the Media Luna Project led to notable improvement in water recycling and reuse, which witnessed a surge from 58% in 2024 to 83% in 2025.
Torex also achieved a 68% reduction in Scope 1 greenhouse gas emissions compared to 2024.
President and CEO Jody Kuzenko said the company remains committed to balancing strong financial returns with responsible mining practices, environmental stewardship, and meaningful community development.
The report noted that the company continues to align with internationally recognized sustainability frameworks, including the World Gold Council Responsible Gold Mining Principles and the International Cyanide Management Code.
