SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Century Recycling, a Mexico City-based scrap processing company formerly known as Comercializadora Centro y Recycling, LLC, has announced plans to establish a state-of-the-art automated aluminum scrap recycling plant in Mission, Texas. The announcement came after discussions between Century Recycling executives, the Mission Economic Development Corporation, and Mayor Norie Garza.

The upcoming facility will span 98,000 square feet and is projected to generate approximately 240 jobs, including both permanent and temporary positions, while contributing significantly to local payroll and tax revenues. Initially, the plant is expected to employ around 70 staff members, operating on a single shift. Plans for future expansion include 24/7 operations across three shifts.
