17th February, 2022: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Dipped on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on February 17^th, Thursday. Aluminum, and Brass/Bronze scrap prices dropped on Index when compared with the previous day. Meantime, Stainless Steel and Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down sharply by CNY 400 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined heavily by CNY 400 per MT each.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have declined by CNY 200 per MT upon comparison with the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices recorded a down move of $ 50 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices held steady on Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices too were flat from the previous day.

Cu/Al Radiator scrap prices were down by CNY 50 per MT.

Heater Cores prices too declined by CNY 100 per MT on Thursday, February 17^th.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained flat on Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a dip by CNY 50 per Lb over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too were down by CNY 50 per MT on Index.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers witnessed no change from the prior day.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices dipped by CNY 50 per MT on Index.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices too were down by CNY 50 per MT on 17^th February, 2022.

The prices of UBC and Zorba 90% INF remained flat from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 17^th February, 2022.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were unchanged on Index.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning saw no change on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices held steady when compared with the prior day.

310 SS Solid scrap prices were flat on February 17^th, 2022.

Shred SS prices too saw no variation in prices over the day.    

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China declined on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices were unchanged on February 17^th, 2022.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too dropped by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.
