14th December, 2018: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Reported Huge Decline on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on December 14^th, Friday. Aluminum, Brass and Bronze scrap prices too were down sharply. Meantime, Steel and Stainless Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down by CNY 400 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined heavily by CNY 400 per MT each.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have declined by CNY 150 per MT upon comparison with the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices recorded a down move of $100 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes prices declined by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices too were down by CNY 50 per MT from the previous day.

Cu/Al Radiator scrap prices were down by CNY 100 per MT.

Heater Cores prices declined by CNY 100 per MT on Friday, December 14^th.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a price decline of CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too dropped by CNY 50 per MT.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers were unmoved on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices dropped by CNY 50 per MT on December 14^th, 2018.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices were down by CNY 50 per MT each.

UBC and  Zorba 90% INF prices held steady on Index.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 14^th December, 2018.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were unchanged on Index.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning saw no change on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices held steady when compared with the prior day.

310 SS Solid scrap prices too were unchanged on November 14^th.

Shred SS prices too saw no variation in prices over the day.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China dropped on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices were down by CNY 100 per MT on December 14^th, 2018.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too dropped by CNY 100 per MT each.
