In a news release, Donald R. Brewer Jr., President and CEO, DCC noted that the company looks forward to join the Dillon community. The new operations will boost purchases of metal recyclables from scrap dealers as well as general public. In addition, it will provide excellent, high-paying job opportunities to people in the region. The City of Dillon and the state’s new inland port makes it an ideal location for the new facility, Brewer added.

Gov. Henry McMaster stated that the investment by DCC underscores the strength of South Carolina recycling industry. Henry Lightsey III, Secretary of Commerce termed the project “a tremendous win for one of our state’s rural communities”.
