Chihong Zn & Ge's New Lead & Zinc Project to Start Trial Production

BEIJING (SMM): The new lead & zinc project of Hulunbuir Chihong Mining Co., Ltd. – a subsidiary of Yunnan Chihong Zn & Ge Co., Ltd. – has secured approval to start trial production, Chihong Zn & Ge told Shanghai Stock Exchange today.

The project with investment totaling 4.82 billion yuan ($785.35 million) has a capacity to produce 140,000 tonne of zinc and 60,000 tonne of lead per year. The Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) will conduct inspection on the project in the next three months, and the project will be allowed to enter service after being certified by the MEP.
