June 13, 2025: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Displayed Mixed Trend on the Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese scrap metal prices recorded mixed trend on the ScrapMonster Price Index  as of Friday, June 13, 2025. Brass/Bronze and Copper scrap prices recorded decline over the previous day. Aluminum scrap prices edged higher on the Index. In contrast, Steel and Stainless Steel scrap prices held steady on the Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright prices dipped by CNY 550 per MT over the previous day.

#1 Copper Wire and Tubing too saw price decline of CNY 550 per MT.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also decreased by CNY 550 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices recorded a fall of CNY 250 per MT on the Index. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices were down by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer scrap prices dropped by CNY 50 per MT over the prior day’s prices.

Cu Yokes and Cu/Al Radiator prices were down by CNY 50 per MT and CNY 100 per MT respectively on the Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices recorded decline by CNY 50 per MT as of Friday, June 13, 2025.

Heater Cores prices dropped by CNY 200 per MT.

Also, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices inched lower by CNY 50 per MT each on the Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a jump of CNY 200 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots also were up by CNY 200 per MT.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers increased by CNY 100 per MT on the Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices edged higher by CNY 200 per MT.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices also increased by CNY 200 per MT each as of June 13, 2025.

The prices UBC and Zorba 90% INF recorded jump by CNY 100 per MT when compared with the previous day’s price.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady as of Friday, June 13, 2025.

Cast Iron Scrap reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were flat on the Index.

304 SS Solid prices also were unchanged over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning held steady.

309 SS and 316 SS Solid prices witnessed no change when compared with the prior day’s price.

310 SS scrap prices were flat as of June 13, 2025.

Shred SS prices witnessed no variation over the previous day.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded decline on the Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices were down by CNY 50 per MT as of June 13, 2025.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices declined by CNY 100 per MT each when matched with the previous day’s prices.
