ITAD Major Ingram Micro Announces Expansion to International Markets

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster):  ITAD sector major Ingram Micro unveiled robust plans to expand its footprints across the globe.

The new ITAD operation in Mexico is considered as the first major step in its plans to expand into international markets. Incidentally, the New Mexico facility, built inside of a 120,000-square foot distribution warehouse, is the company’s fourth ITAD site in Latin American region. Though the launching process was delayed a bit due to Covid-19 restrictions, the site has become fully operational starting mid-November this year. Already, the company has had presence in Brazil, Colombia and Peru.

According to Martin Garcia-Brosa, Ingram Micro’s executive managing director for Latin America, the company targets to expand its international growth by entering into the highly potential Chilean market. The other countries on its radar are Australia, Dubai, Italy and New Zealand. The two biggest opportunities lie in India and China, Garcia-Brosa noted. Ingram Micro plans to expand by adding new facilities in these countries. It must be noted that the company has two facilities in each of these countries.

Ingram Micro aims to get all its global ITAD processing sites certified to e-Stewards standards by end-2022.
