This is part of the company’s plans to boost strategic growth opportunities by expanding manufacturing capabilities in the U.S.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): International Paper (IP), a company based in Memphis, Tennessee, announced plans to investigate the construction of a new, cutting-edge, environmentally friendly packaging facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. There was no disclosure of information about possible job possibilities or capital investment.
This is a component of the company's goals to increase strategic growth prospects through the expansion of U.S. manufacturing capabilities. The investigation of a possible new site will assist the business in expanding its presence in the Utah area. Additionally, by satisfying the growing need for premium sustainable packaging materials, it would assist IP in providing superior customer service.
With state-of-the-art machinery and technology, the proposed new Utah plant will allow the business to provide creative and environmentally friendly packaging solutions to an expanding clientele in the western United States.
The investigation is a component of Packaging Solutions North America's strategic growth effort to expand its regional manufacturing footprint in the United States, according to John Berry, Group Vice President and General Manager, Packaging Group West, who commented on the development. He stated that Salt Lake City will be a new market for IP and a chance to strategically expand with new clients while also providing improved service to current clients in the area.
