Greiner Packaging Officially Joins Alliance to End Plastic Waste

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Greiner Packaging- the leading European manufacturer of plastic packaging announced that it has become an official member of Singapore-based Alliance to End Plastic Waste.

By joining the alliance, Greiner Packaging commits to support the group by contributing wide range of resources and its vast expertise in the field. In addition, it pledges to make new investments in modern recycling systems, new technologies and projects towards implementing an effective waste management.

Manfred Stanek, chief executive officer, Greiner Packaging noted that the company has been a major driver of innovation in sustainable packaging through various initiatives. It has been involved in efforts to reduce use of plastics and promote use of alternative materials. The new partnership will help the company to boost these efforts in making big difference to the future of packaging, he added.

Meantime, Jacob Duer, president and chief executive officer of the Alliance to End Plastic Waste welcomed Greiner Packaging into its fold as a member. The addition of the company will help it to expand its global footprint and take it closer to achieve its target of diverting millions of tons of plastic waste in at-risk cities by 2025.
