GJEPC to Host Virtual Meet to Boost Gold Jewellery Exports

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) will host a virtual business meet to boost exports of gems and gold jewellery from India. The meet will connect Indian jewellery manufacturers with leading retailer and wholesalers in the UK. The first ‘India Global Connect’ virtual business meet is scheduled to be held at 4.00 PM IST on 28th September, 2020.

The meet will be attended by representatives of several companies from the UK as well as India. The conference will be moderated by David Brough of UK-based Jewellery Outlook. It will showcase and introduce the state-of-the-art technologies and tools for jewellery manufacturing used by the Indian industry, which it claims, will cater to multi-faceted requirements of the world jewellery market.

Colin Shah, Chairman, GJEPC noted that the meet will provide an opportunity for manufacturers, exporters and importers of gems and jewellery to gain crucial market insights to further expand their business. It will ensure opening up of new avenues and deepening of knowledge sharing between the two traditional trade partners, he added.

During the lockdown period, the GJEPC had successfully organized virtual buyer-seller meets on loose diamonds and plain gold jewellery. Also, it plans to organize similar meets on other product categories such as studded, platinum and costume jewellery.
