SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Freepoint Eco-Systems LLC announced construction of new advanced plastic recycling facility in Arizona.
The ISCC Plus Certified facility will be located in Eloy and will have annual capacity to process approximately 180,000 tons of end-of-life plastic waste, which otherwise would be landfilled or incinerated. The plant is expected to begin commercial operations in H1 2026, said the company press release.

The facility will employ state-of-the-art technology to convert plastic waste into feedstock, which in turn will be used in the manufacturing of new plastic products. The carbon footprint of the plastic produced by the recycling process will be up to 90% less. The construction phase of the project will create around 20o jobs in Arizona region. Upon commencement of commercial operations, the facility is expected to create nearly 100 full-time circular economy jobs.
Jeff McMahon, Managing Director of Freepoint stated that the company is thrilled to build the facility in cooperation with the city, county and state authorities. The development marks expansion of its advanced recycling footprint in the U.S. The facility will positively impact plastic recycling and local community, he added.
