Far West Metals Joins TERRA’s Electronics Recycling Program

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster):  Tualatin, Oregon-headquartered Far West Metals (FWM) has joined the ‘Done with IT’ mail-in recycling program by Nashville, Tennessee-headquartered The Electronics Reuse & Recycling Alliance (TERRA).

By joining the program, FWM will offer electronics recycling options for residents and businesses of Oregon and Washington. In addition to partnering with TERRA in raising awareness about the negative environmental and health effects of improper disposal of electronic waste, the company will offer sustainable recycling solutions, including data destruction services, to more than 11.6 million residents in as many as 74 counties.

The addition of FMW has expanded the ‘Done with IT’ program to 41 states and DC, offering services to more than 236 million people altogether.

Steven Napoli, President & CEO of TERRA noted that only certified recyclers like FWM can be trusted to securely and sustainably process used electronics. Such facilities adhere to rigorous standards and make continuous investments in latest technologies. Meantime, Keith Ristau, President of FWM stated that the company is excited to help TERRA build its nationwide network of certified recyclers in order to mitigate the dangers associated with improper disposal of electronic waste.
