ERI, CTA and Samsung Join Hands to Recycle Old Electronics

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The Consumer Technology Association (CTA), ERI and Samsung Electronics America, Inc. have joined hands to offer responsible recycling of used electronic devices.

The third annual e-waste recycling event will be held Saturday, January 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. PST at the Salvation Army located at 2035 Yale Street in North Las Vegas. The event will offer a convenient way to recycle end-of-life electronic devices safely and responsibly. The event will accept a wide range of electronic items including computer equipment, televisions and mobile devices.

The collection event will help promote responsible recycling. At the same time, it will prevent unwanted electronics from ending up in landfills. ERI will be responsible for secure data destruction and safe disposal of electronic items collected during the event.

In collaboration with partners including ERI and CTA, Samsung has recycled over 100 million pounds of electronic waste throughout the U.S. during the previous year. The e-waste recycling volumes since 2008 have exceeded 1 billion pounds. The Las Vegas collection event will help the company in achieving its goal of taking back 15 billion pounds of electronics across the globe by 2030.
