Both companies are also progressing a separate binding offtake agreement for the recycled metals consistent with the framework outlined in an October 2025 MoU.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster):  Metallium’s goal of establishing a US critical minerals supply chain has passed a commercial milestone with the execution of a binding electronic scrap agreement with Glencore.

Mining giant Glencore is a major recycler of end-of-life electronics, lithium-ion batteries and other products containing critical metals, making it an ideal partner for the company to reach its first binding feedstock supply contract.

Under the multi-year contract, Glencore will supply up to 2400tpa of e-scrap into Metallium’s US operations.

This provides secure long-term access to e-scrap feedstock to support the ongoing commissioning and scale-up of MTM’s Flash Joule Heating technology platform.

It ensures feedstock certainty during commissioning, enabling predictable reactor utilisation and future multi-line scale-up.

Both companies are also progressing a separate binding offtake agreement for the recycled metals consistent with the framework outlined in an October 2025 MoU.

“This is a defining moment for Metallium. Our first binding supply agreement gives us exactly what every processing technology company needs most: consistent, secure, high-quality feedstock,” managing director Michael Walshe said.

“Glencore’s commitment allows us to commission and scale with confidence, and it’s a strong validation of our FJH technology and US strategy.

“We look forward to building on this relationship as we finalise the complementary binding offtake agreement.”
