ERI, Ecoreco Launch ERI India to Expand E-Waste Recycling and ITAD Services

MONTREAL (Scrap Monster): U.S.-based electronics recycler ERI and Indian e-waste management company Ecoreco have joined forces to establish ERI India, a new venture aimed at expanding advanced electronics recycling and IT asset disposition services across India. ERI India is scheduled to begin operations later in 2026.
The partnership will combine ERI's technology and experience in material recovery with Ecoreco's local infrastructure, market knowledge and regional networks. The companies said the venture will focus on recovering valuable materials from discarded electronics while keeping electronic waste away from landfills.
ERI India to Expand ITAD and Material-Recovery Services
ERI India is expected to provide services covering secure data destruction, IT asset management, electronics recycling, logistics, material recovery and regulatory compliance.
The companies also plan to introduce technology-driven sorting and processing methods to improve the recovery of useful materials from end-of-life equipment.
The new venture is expected to support India's growing need for responsible e-waste management and strengthen domestic access to secondary resources.
ERI and Ecoreco Combine Recycling and Circular-Economy Expertise
ERI Chairman and CEO John Shegerian said the partnership would combine sustainability practices and circular-economy expertise from both countries.
Ecoreco Chairman and Managing Director B.K. Soni said the venture would establish a transparent and internationally aligned recycling ecosystem.
The announcement was made during the Material Recycling Association of India International Business Summit held recently in Tokyo.
