January 7, 2025: Scrap Gold and Platinum Prices Dipped, Silver Up on the Index

In the Non-Hallmarked category, the 14-carat gold scrap prices edged lower by $ 7.22 per Oz.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The daily scrap gold and platinum prices - hallmarked and non- hallmarked declined as of Tuesday, January 7, 2025 on the ScrapMonster Price Index. Silver scrap prices increased marginally over the previous day.
In the Hallmarked category, the 14-carat gold scrap prices were down by $ 7.63 per Oz. The prices of 18-carat and 22-carat gold scrap inched lower by $ 9.78 and $ 11.95 per Oz respectively. 9-carat gold scrap also went lower by $ 4.89 per Oz. The price of Platinum scrap saw cut of $ 1.46 per Oz to reach $ 684.64 per Oz. Silver scrap prices increased marginally by $0.38 per Oz when compared with the previous day.
In the Non-Hallmarked category, the 14-carat gold scrap prices edged lower by $ 7.22 per Oz. The prices of 18-carat and 22-carat gold scrap were down $ 9.25 and $ 11.31 per Oz respectively. 9 carat gold scrap also was down $ 4.63 per Oz. Platinum scrap prices fell by 1.46 per Oz. Meantime, Non-hallmarked silver scrap prices recorded modest jump by $0.34 per Lb.
