TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The prices of a few scrap categories in North American region recorded decline on the ScrapMonster Price Index as of Friday, October 10, 2025. Aluminum scrap prices recorded decline, whereas Steel and Stainless steel scrap prices were flat on the Index. Copper and Brass/Bronze scrap prices registered a marginal decline.
Alternator prices dropped by $0.01 per Lb on the Index.
The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing declined by $0.20 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also down by $0.20 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright edged lower by $ 0.20 per Lb.
The #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices witnessed a decline of $0.05 per Lb over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices also were down by $0.04 per Lb on the Index. #3 Copper-Light copper prices inched lower by $0.20 per Lb.
The prices of Copper Radiator scrap witnessed a decline of $0.08 per Lb on the Index.
Copper Transformer Scrap edged lower by $0.01 per Lb.
Cu Yokes prices reported a decline of $0.02 per Lb over the previous day.
Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices reported no variation week-on-week.
Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe were down by $0.03 per Lb each as of October 10, 2025.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices inched up by $0.04 per Lb.
Heater Cores and Romex Wire prices were down by $0.02 per Lb and $0.05 per Lb respectively over the day.
The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units, and Xmas Lights reported minor declines, falling by $0.01 per Lb from the previous day's price levels.
1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap also were unchanged on the Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe also held steady.
The prices of 6063 Extrusions witnessed no change over the day.
Meanwhile, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat when compared with the prior day.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained recorded decline by $0.03 per Lb each over the day. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged as of Friday, October 10, 2025.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices were down by $0.01 per Lb on the Index.
Chrome Wheels, Litho Sheets, and MLC Clips held steady at the previous day’s price levels.
Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices also remained unchanged.
The prices of Old Cast and UBC reported no variation over the previous day.
Old Sheet, Painted Siding, and Zorba 90% NF prices also were flat.
#1 Bundle prices recorded no change on the Index.
The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS were unchanged as of October 10, 2025.
