BEIJING (ScrapMonster): Chinese scrap metal prices recorded a mixed trend on the ScrapMonster Price Index as of Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Copper and aluminum scrap prices edged higher, stainless steel declined, while brass/bronze and steel scrap prices remained steady.

Copper Transformer scrap, Cu Yokes, Cu/Al Radiator scrap, and Harness Wire (35% recovery) held steady over the previous day. Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices also recorded no change.
What Drove Aluminum Scrap Gains
6063 Extrusions and Aluminum Ingots each rose by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.
Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers prices were up by CNY 50 per MT each on the Index.
E.C. Aluminum Wire, Old Cast, and Old Sheet prices each gained CNY 100 per MT.
UBC and Zorba 90% INF prices increased by CNY 50 per MT each from the previous day's levels.
Steel Scrap Holds Steady
#1 HMS prices held steady over the previous day's levels.
