The inductees for the CT Hall of Fame Program and the winners of the IEA Awards were selected by two separate panels.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) honoured the six 2019 inductees of the CT Hall of Fame Program and two winners of the Innovation Entrepreneur Award (IEA) at its annual awards dinner held in New York on November 6, 2019, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the CT hall of Fame program.
The six inductees of the 2019 CT Hall of Fame program were Colin Angle, co-founder and CEO of iRobot and co-inventor of the Roomba vacuum cleaner; Jim Barry, renowned consumer technology reporter and editor; Elizabeth Feinler, organizer of the online information system for ARPANET; Dr. Shuji Nakamura, inventor of the blue LED; Owen Young, Founder of RCA- teh first American radio company and Henry Chiarelli, an industry veteran with over 40 years of experience.
