The police department is asking the public to report any suspicious persons and/or work trucks on Riva Avenue between Church Lane and the South Brunswick border.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The East Brunswick Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance concerning a recent theft of a large amount of copper wire.
On April 2, police responded to Riva Avenue near the South Brunswick border regarding a report of copper wire theft.
Verizon, the business at the site, said that approximately $100,000 worth of copper was stolen from old landline wire on telephone poles. It is believed the suspect(s) would have had to use a bucket truck to commit the theft.
The theft is believed to have taken place between April 1 and 2.
