Coca-Cola Join Hands with Lime to Reward Recycling Efforts

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Coca-Cola announced new partnership with electric vehicles provider Lime to reward people for their commitment to recycling. Those who purchase and pledge to recycle Coca-Cola’s 100% rPET 13.2oz bottles will be offered more than 40,000 free bike or e-scooter rides. The partnership also aims to make zero-emission modes of transportation more popular among young generation.

The people who purchase Coca-Cola’s Sip Sized 100% rPET bottles from convenience stores across the nation need to pledge to recycle them by visiting the site CokePlayToWin.com/endlesslyrefreshing. They will then receive a promo code via email, which in turn will be redeemable for a free, 10-minute bike or e-scooter ride through the Linme app.

The initiative is estimated to result in reduction in GHG emissions by nearly 10,000 metric ton per annum.

Brandan Strickland, Brand Director of Coca-Cola Trademark, Coca-Cola North America Operating Unit noted that the initiative encourages people to go the extra mile to commit to recycling its products repeatedly. Sara Lannin, Head of Global Business Development and Partnerships at Lime said that the partnership with Coca-Cola demonstrates that sustainability is central to Lime’s core values.
