Bio Pappel Announces Acquisition of Major U.S. Corrugated Packaging Producer

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Mexico-based Bio Pappel- the largest manufacturer of paper, paper products in Mexico and Latin America, has announced acquisition of key U.S. corrugated packaging producer. The acquisition of subsidiaries and affiliated companies of Washington, Pennsylvania-based U.S. Corrugated Inc. was executed through McKinley Paper Co., Bio Pappel’s U.S. subsidiary.

Dennis Mehiel, founder, U.S. Corrugated noted that the strategic alliance will convert U.S. Corrugated into a fully integrated paper and packaging company. The personal and professional relationship with Bio Pappel’s CEO Miguel Rincon and family served as the impetus for the alliance, he added.

Meantime, Ignacio Rincon, vice president, Bio Pappel noted that the acquisition will help the company to expand its international footprints. Further, it will double the size of its current U.S. operations, thereby achieving significant progress in its efforts to integrate into higher value-added products, he said.

Incidentally, U.S. Corrugated owns state-of-the-art corrugated industrial Alpha-Box Plants in Southern California, Georgia and Indiana. It also operates a modern Alpha-Box Plant in Mexicali and a full-service sheet plant in Tijuana, Mexico. Also, MCKinley Paper operates two paper mills, one in New Mexico and other in the state of Washington.
