ALUPRO Launches New Website Dedicated to Recycling Education

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Alupro- the Aluminum Packaging Recycling Organization announced the launch of its new website, www.recyclealuminum.org.uk, dedicated to offer education to customers on the importance of recycling and the recycling benefits of aluminium packaging.

The new site serves as an educational hub, offering latest industry data, FAQs, blogs, videos, fact sheets and more. The consumers are also provided with practical information on the journey of the packaging from the time it leaves households until it returns as a new product, ready to use again.

The website targets to offer education about the benefits of recycling. Only 56% of the UK’s aluminium was recycled in 2019. Providing necessary information and education is the key to achieve improved recycling rates. The website aims to provide inspiration to bring about behavioural change among consumers. It must be noted that approximately 12 billion aluminium packaging items are sold every year in the UK alone.

Rick Hindley, executive director at Alupro noted that the new website provides valuable information to consumers. Furthermore, it encourages households to make better and more informed decisions in disposing of their valuable aluminium packaging. He urged customers to browse through a whole host of useful information in the website.
