Airtel Payments Bank Launched New Gold Investment Platform

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Airtel Payments Bank announced launch of new gold investment platform. The ‘DigiGold’ platform was launched in partnership with SafeGold- a digital gold provider.

The new investment platform will allow the bank’s savings bank customers to make investment in gold. In addition, they could also gift gold to their family and friends, provided they too have savings account with Airtel Payments Bank. All these services are easily accessible through Airtel Thanks app.

The gold purchased through the app will be stored in the secured custody of SafeGold, until the time they wish to sell them or transfer to another account holder. The customers will not be charges for the storage of gold. Also, customers can purchase gold according to their choice. The investment could be as low as one rupee.

Ganesh Ananthanarayanan, Chief Operating Officer, Airtel Payments Bank noted that DigiGold is the latest addition to its portfolio of simple, secure, and value-driven products. The Bank plans to introduce Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs) to promote regular investment in gold by customers.
