By TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices witnessed marginal uptick on ScrapMonster Price Index as on May 9th, Monday. Brass/Bronze and Stainless Steel scrap prices were up marginally. Meantime, Steel scrap prices witnessed no change on Index. Copper and Aluminum scrap prices registered marginal increase.
Copper Scrap Prices
The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw no change over the previous day. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also unchanged. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright held steady at $ 2.98 per Lb.
The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery remained flat over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were unchanged. #3 Copper-Light copper prices witnessed no change from $2.68 per Lb.
The prices of Copper Radiator and Copper Transformer scrap saw no change on Index. Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices were up by $0.03 per Lb.
Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe prices edged higher by $0.04 per Lb.
Meanwhile, the prices of Cu Yokes saw no change from the previous day prices of $0.59 per Lb on May 7th, 2018.
Heater Cores and Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices stayed flat on Index.
Romex Wire prices were unchanged over the previous day.
The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units and Xmas Lights witnessed no change on Index.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were flat at $0.72 per Lb. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.
The prices of 6063 Extrusions held steady over the day.
Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat at $0.69 per Lb and $0.67 per Lb respectively.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe edged higher by $0.04 per Lb each. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on 7th May, 2018.
Chrome Wheels and remained flat on Index.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices held steady over the previous day.
Litho Sheets and MLC Clips witnessed no change from previous day’s levels of $0.72 per Lb and $0.70 per Lb respectively.
Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too remained unchanged.
The prices of Old Cast and UBC saw no change over the previous day.
Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too held steady.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 Bundle prices remained flat at $380 per MT.
The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change on 7th May, 2018.
HMS 80/20 prices held steady at $310 per MT.
Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS and 301 SS prices reported no change.
304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.
304 SS Turning witnessed no variation in prices on 7th May, 2018.
309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change in price on a daily basis.
330 SS prices were flat at $1.09 per Lb.
Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb on Index.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region rose marginally on Index.
70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap, Brass Radiator scrap and Brass Radiator /Fe prices reported no change in prices on Monday, May 7th, 2018.
Brass Radiator Ends prices maintained the previous day price levels.
Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices too were up by $0.02 per Lb each.
