6th July, 2023: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Soared on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese aluminum scrap prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on July 6^th, Thursday. Stainless Steel and Copper Scrap prices too were up from the previous day. Meantime, Brass, Bronze and Steel scrap prices held steady.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing witnessed marginal rise by CNY 50 per MT each over the previous day.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 50 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices remained flat. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery held steady over the previous day.

Copper Transformer scrap prices saw no variation in prices over the previous day. No price-change was witnessed in Cu Yokes.

Cu/Al Radiator prices remained unchanged.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices held steady on Thursday, July 6^th, 2023.

Also, Heater Cores, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a rise of CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots prices too were up by CNY 50 per MT.

Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers were unchanged on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices surged higher by CNY 50 per MT.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices jumped higher by CNY 50 per MT each on July 6^th, 2023.

Meantime, UBC and Zorba 90%NF prices held steady on Index.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 6^th July, 2023.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices increased by CNY 150 per MT on Index.

304 SS Solid prices too were up by CNY 250 per MT over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning increased by CNY 250 on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices spiked by CNY 350 per MT each when compared with the prior day.

310 SS Solid scrap prices were up by CNY 500 per MT on July 6^th, 2023.

Shred SS prices too soared by CNY 250 per MT over the day.        

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded modest rise from the previous day.

Brass Radiator prices were flat on July 6^th, 2023.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices were unchanged on Index.
