4th March, 2021: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Saw Substantial Decline on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese Copper and Aluminum scrap prices declined modestly on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on March 4^th, Thursday. Stainless Steel, Brass and Bronze scrap prices witnessed slight decline on Index when compared with the previous day. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady over the day.

Copper Scrap Prices                                       

The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price decline of CNY 1,250 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also decreased by CNY 1,250 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were down by CNY 600 per MT on Index. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery edged down by CNY 300 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices were down by CNY 100 per MT each.

Cu/Al Radiator prices declined by CNY 300 per MT on Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices reported decline by CNY 100 per MT on Thursday, February 4^th.

Heater Cores prices witnessed a decline by CNY 500 per MT.

Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices dropped by CNY 50 per MT each.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a price decline of CNY 400 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too dropped by CNY 400 per MT.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers witnessed decline by CNY 200 per MT and CNY 150 per MT respectively on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices dropped by CNY 400 per MT.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices witnessed decline by CNY 400 per MT each on March 4^th, 2021.

UBC and Zorba 90% NF prices recorded decline by CNY 200 per MT and CNY 150 per MT respectively from the prior day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 4^th March, 2021.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices declined by CNY 200 per MT on Index.

304 SS Solid prices too were down by CNY 300 per MT over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning dipped by CNY 300 per MT on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices were down by CNY 400 per MT each when compared with the prior day.

310 SS Solid scrap prices too dropped by CNY 500 per MT on March 4^th, 2021.

Shred SS prices witnessed a drop by CNY 300 per MT over the day.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded marginal decline on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices dropped by CNY 100 per MT on March 4^th, 2021.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices edged lower by CNY 150 per MT each on Index.
