4th April, 2018-North American Scrap Metal Prices Declined on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap prices mostly declined on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on April 4^th, Wednesday. Copper and Aluminum scrap prices declined on Index. Brass, Bronze and Stainless Steel scrap prices too reported marginal decline on Index over the previous day. Meantime, Steel scrap prices remained unchanged.

Copper Scrap Prices

Alternator prices remained unchanged when compared with the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing slipped by $0.04 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also down by $0.04 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright also went lower by $ 0.04 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery declined by $0.02 per Lb. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were down by $0.01 per Lb from the previous day prices. #3 Copper-Light copper prices dropped by $0.04 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiator registered decline of $0.01 per Lb over the previous day.

Copper Transformer scrap prices saw no change over the day.

Cu Yokes, Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe prices dropped by $0.01 per Lb each over the previous day.

Cu/Al Radiator Ends held steady.

Meanwhile, Romex Wire prices saw decline of $0.01 per Lb on April 4^th.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices decreased by $0.01 per Lb. The prices of Heater Cores too witnessed marginal decline of $0.01 per Lb.

Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed units declined marginally by $0.01 per Lb each.

Starters and Xmas Lights remained unchanged on Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were flat at $0.66 per Lb. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions held steady over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat at $0.63 per Lb and $0.61 per Lb respectively.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained flat.

Al/Cu Radiators prices were down by $0.01 per Lb.

Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on 4^th April, 2018.

Chrome Wheels remained flat on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices remained unchanged over the day.

Litho Sheets and MLC Clips witnessed no change from previous day’s levels of $0.66 per Lb and $0.64 per Lb respectively.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too remained unchanged.

The prices of Old Cast and UBC saw no change over the previous day.

Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too held steady.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat at $365 per MT.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change on 4^th April, 2018.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady at $290 per MT.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS, 301 SS and 304 SS Turning prices held steady.

304 SS Solid prices were down by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day.

309 SS prices declined marginally by $0.01 per Lb on April 4^th, 2018.

310 SS and 316 SS Solid prices dropped by $0.01 per Lb each.

Meantime, 330 SS prices witnessed a decline of $0.02 per Lb.

 Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The prices of 70/30 Brass Scrap inched lower by $ 0.02 per Lb.

80/20 Brass Scrap also declined by $ 0.02 per Lb to $1.56 per Lb.

The price of 85/15 Brass was down by $ 0.02 per Lb to reach $ 1.72 per Lb.

Brass Radiator prices dropped by $0.02 per Lb on April 4^th, 2018.

Brass Radiator/Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices held steady over the previous day.

The prices of Red Brass, Rod Borings and Yellow Brass declined by $0.02 per Lb each.
