2nd March, 2023: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Declined on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese scrap metal prices mostly remained unchanged on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on March 2^nd, Thursday. Brass and Bronze scrap prices saw no change on Index. Steel and Aluminum scrap prices remained unchanged over the previous day. Copper and Stainless Steel scrap prices recorded marginal decline.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price decline of CNY 300 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also decreased by CNY 300 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have dropped by CNY 250 per MT on Index. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices was down by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer scrap prices saw no variation in prices over the previous day. No price change was witnessed in Cu Yokes.

Cu/Al Radiator prices inched lower by CNY 50 per MT on Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices were unchanged on 2^nd March, 2023.

Also, Heater Cores prices inched lower by CNY 100 per MT.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed no change in prices over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too remained unchanged.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers saw no variation.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices remained unmoved.

Old Cast prices too were flat on 2^nd March, 2023.

The prices of Old Sheets and UBC held steady on Index.

Zorba 90% INF prices saw no change from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 2^nd March, 2023.

Cast Iron Scrap reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were down by CNY 150 per MT on Index.

304 SS Solid prices too inched lower by CNY 250 per MT over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning declined by CNY 250 per MT on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices dipped by CNY 350 per MT each when compared with the prior day.

310 SS Solid scrap prices were down by CNY 450 per MT on March 2^nd, 2023.

Shred SS prices too recorded decline by CNY 250 per MT over the day.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded no change on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices remained flat on 2^nd March, 2023.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices held steady on Index.
