29th November, 2023: North American Scrap Metal Prices Soared on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices remained mostly unchanged on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on November 29^th, Wednesday. Stainless Steel scrap prices inched higher on Index. Copper, Brass and Bronze scrap prices too surged, whereas Aluminum scrap prices remained flat. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing increased by $0.04 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.04 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.04 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery edged higher by $0.01 per Lb over the day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices were up by $0.01 per Lb. #3 Copper-Light copper prices surged higher by $0.04 per Lb from previous day’s level.

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap witnessed a jump by $0.01 per Lb from previous day’s levels. Copper Transformer Scrap prices remained unchanged. CuYokes prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb. Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices reported no change from the previous day.

Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe held steady on November 29^th, 2023.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater cores prices increased by $0.01 per Lb each on Index.

The price of Romex Wire too were up by $0.01 per Lb during the day.     

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units, Starters and Xmas Lights saw no change from previous day price levels.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were steady on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions held steady over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat when compared with the previous day.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained flat. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on November 29^th, 2023.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices held steady over the previous day.

Chrome Wheels and remained flat on Index.

Romex Wire prices too were unchanged on Index.

Litho Sheets and MLC Clips witnessed no change from previous day’s levels.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too remained unchanged.

The prices of Old Cast and UBC saw no change over the previous day.

Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too held steady.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat over the previous day.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too witnessed no change on 29^th November, 2023.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady on Index.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also reported no change in prices in comparison with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were flat on Index.

301 SS and 304 SS Solid prices increased by $0.01 per Lb each over the previous day.

304 SS Turning prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb on November 29^st, 2023.

309 SS and 310 SS prices were up by $0.01 per Lb and $0.02 per Lb respectively.

330 SS prices increased by $0.03 per Lb.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too edged higher by $0.01 per Lb on Index.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region edged higher on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices were up by $0.01 per Lb each on Wednesday, November 29^th, 2023.

Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices maintained the previous day price levels.

Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices inched higher by $0.01 per Lb each on Index.
