26th December, 2023: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Displayed Mixed Trend on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on December 26^th, Tuesday. Aluminum scrap prices held steady over the day, while Brass/Bronze scrap prices dropped on Index when compared with the previous day. Stainless Steel scrap prices edged higher over the day. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down by CNY 500 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined by CNY 500 per MT each.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have declined by CNY 250 per MT upon comparison with the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices recorded decline by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer Scrap and Cu Yokes prices inched lower by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.

Cu/Al Radiator prices were down by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices dipped marginally by CNY 50 per MT on Tuesday, December 26^th, 2023.

Also, Heater Cores prices were down by CNY 200 per MT.

Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices witnessed minor decline by CNY 50 per MT each over the previous day.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed no change in prices over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too remained unchanged.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers saw no variation.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices remained unmoved on Index.

Old Cast prices too were flat on 26^th December, 2023.

The prices of Old Sheets and UBC held steady on Index.

Zorba 90% INF prices saw no change from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 26^th December, 2023.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were flat on Index.

304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices too were unchanged on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices registered surge by CNY 50 per MT each when compared with the prior day.

310 SS Solid scrap prices edged higher by CNY 100 per MT on December 26^th, 2023.

Shred SS prices witnessed no change over the day.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China declined on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices dipped by CNY 50 per MT on December 26^th, 2023.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were down by CNY 100 per MT each on Index.
