22nd September, 2023: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Displayed Mixed Trend on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese aluminum scrap prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on September 22^nd, Friday. Brass, Bronze, and Copper Scrap prices were down from the previous day. Stainless Steel prices declined, whereas Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down by CNY 300 per MT.

#1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price rise of CNY 300 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also declined by CNY 300 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices inched lower by CNY 150 per MT over the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery too declined by CNY 50 per MT when compared with the day before.

Copper Transformer scrap and Cu Yokes prices were flat on Index.

Cu/Al Radiators and Heater Cores prices edged lower by CNY 50 per MT and CNY 100 per MT respectively.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices were unchanged on Friday, September 22^nd.

Also, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices saw no change in prices.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a rise of CNY 200 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots prices too were up by CNY 200 per MT.

Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers witnessed rise by CNY 100 per MT each on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices inched higher by CNY 200 per MT.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices jumped higher by CNY 200 per MT each on September 22^nd, 2023.

Meantime, UBC and Zorba 90%NF prices inched higher by CNY 100 per MT each on Index.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 22^nd September, 2023.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were flat on Index.

304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices were unchanged on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices declined by CNY 50 per MT each when compared with the prior day.

310 SS Solid scrap prices dipped by CNY 100 per MT on September 22^nd, 2023.

Shred SS prices held steady over the day.        

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded modest rise from the previous day.

Brass Radiator scrap prices were unchanged on September 22^nd, 2023.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices were down by CNY 50 per MT each.
