21st February, 2024: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Soared on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese aluminum scrap prices witnessed no change on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on February 21^st, Wednesday. Brass, Bronze and Copper scrap prices were up from the previous day. Meantime, Steel and Stainless Steel scrap prices held steady.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright prices were up by CNY 700 per MT.

#1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price rise of CNY 700 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 700 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up by CNY 350 per MT over the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery surged higher by CNY 200 per MT when compared with the day before.

Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices were up by CNY 50 per MT each.

Cu/Al Radiators saw an increase by CNY 200 per MT in prices.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices inched higher by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Heater Cores soared by CNY 250 per MT on Wednesday, February 21^st, 2024.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices edged higher by CNY 50 per MT each on Index.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed no change in prices over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too remained unchanged.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers saw no variation.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices remained unmoved on Index.

Old Cast prices too were flat on 21^st February, 2024.

The prices of Old Sheets and UBC held steady on Index.

Zorba 90% INF prices saw no change from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 21^st Febraury, 2024.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were unchanged on Index.

304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices held steady on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS Solid prices remained flat when compared with the prior day.

310 SS scrap prices witnessed no change on February 21^st, 2024.

Shred SS prices too were unmoved over the day.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded marginal surge from the previous day.

Brass Radiator scrap prices were up by CNY 100 per MT on 21^st February, 2024.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too recorded increase by CNY 150 per MT each on Index.
