16th April, 2024: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Dropped on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper and aluminum scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on April 16^th, Tuesday. Stainless Steel scrap prices dropped on Index when compared with the previous day. Meantime, Brass/Bronze and Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined by CNY 100 per MT each.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have declined by CNY 50 per MT upon comparison with the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices recorded no change over the previous day.

Copper Transformer scrap prices were flat over the previous day. Similarly, no change in prices were reported in Cu Yokes.

Cu/Al Radiator prices held steady on Index.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices were flat on Tuesday, April 16^th, 2024.

Heater Cores prices were unchanged on Index.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices recorded no change over the previous day.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed dip in prices by CNY 500 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too were down by CNY 500 per MT on Index.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers registered decline by CNY 250 per MT on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices dropped by CNY 500 per MT on Index.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices too recorded decline by CNY 500 per MT each on 16^th April, 2024.

The prices of UBC witnessed decline by CNY 250 per MT on Index.

Zorba 90% INF prices too dipped by CNY 250 per MT from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady on 16^th April, 2024.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were down by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices witnessed a decline by CNY 150 per MT each on Index.

309 SS and 316 SS prices registered decline by CNY 200 per MT each when compared with the prior day.

310 SS scrap prices edged lower by CNY 250 per MT on April 16^th, 2024.

Shred SS prices recorded a dip of CNY 150 per MT over the day.        

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded no change on Index.

Brass Radiator scrap prices held steady on April 16^th, 2024.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were unchanged over the previous day.
