The Ministry of Land and Resources said during Tuesday that the about 154,968 mt of copper reserves along with gold and silver has been explored in Jiurui mining district in Chinese Jiangxi province.

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Ministry of Land and Resources said during Tuesday that the about 154,968 mt of copper reserves along with gold and silver has been explored in Jiurui mining district in Chinese Jiangxi province.
The ministry added that about 16 mineralized zones had been intersected in the region. The copper grades were at an average of 0.69%.
Jiangxi province is situated in southeast China and it has rich copper reserves.
According to the latest data given by Jiangxi provincial government, the region has produced about 651,000 million tonnes of refined copper in H1 2014, which is up by 11% YoY. But, first half copper concentrate production dropped by 3pct YoY to about 130,000 million tonnes.
The region’s HI gold production output has increased by 6pct YoY to about 15.6 million tonnes. Jiangxi’s silver output rose 19pct to about 533million tonnes. Here, the gold and silver are the byproducts of the copper mining process.
