13th July, 2023: North American Scrap Metal Prices Spiked on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper scrap prices continued to surge higher on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on 13^th July, Thursday. Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Brass and Bronze scrap prices too were up on Index. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady on Index when matched with the day before.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap inched higher by $0.01 per Lb on Index. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing rose by $0.09 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.09 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.09 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery edged higher by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were up by $0.02 per Lb on Index. #3 Copper-Light copper prices edged higher by $0.09 per Lb.

Copper Radiator prices were up by $0.03 per Lb.

Copper Transformer Scrap and Cu Yokes prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb each from the previous day.

The prices of Cu/Al Radiator Ends, Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe witnessed no change on July 13^th, 2023.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater Cores prices inched higher by $0.02 per Lb each on Index.

The price of Romex Wire edged higher by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Xmas Lights, Sealed units and Starters recorded marginal increase by $0.01 per Lb each from previous day price levels.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices inched higher by $0.01 per Lb over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap, 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were up by $0.01 per Lb each.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions edged higher by $0.01 per Lb over the day.

The prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions increased by $0.01 per Lb each when compared with the previous day.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained flat. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on July 13^th, 2023.

Chrome Wheels prices soared by $0.01 per Lb on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices were up by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day.

Litho Sheets and MLC Clips witnessed marginal rise by $0.01 per Lb each from previous day’s levels.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices surged higher by $0.01 per Lb.

The prices of Old Cast and UBC saw marginal increase by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day.

Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too were up by $0.01 per Lb each.

 Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change on 13^th July, 2023.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices increaded by $0.01 per Lb on Index.

301 SS and 304 SS Solid prices edged higher by $0.02 per Lb over the previous day.

304 SS Turning too were up by $0.01 per Lb in prices on July 13^th, 2023.

309 SS and 310 SS prices increased by $0.02 per Lb and $0.03 per Lb respectively on a daily basis.

330 SS prices were up by $0.04 per Lb from the prior day.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too surged higher by $0.02 per Lb on Index.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region soared on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator prices were up by $0.02 per Lb each on July 13^th, 2023.

Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices witnessed no change on Index.

Red Brass, Yellow Brass and Rod Borings prices increased by $0.02 per Lb each on Index.
