STOCKHOLM (Scrap Monster): Sweden produced 363,200 tons of crude steel in September, declined by 5% year-on-year, as per the latest statistics released by the Swedish Steel Producers´ Association (Jernkontoret)
In the first nine months of this year, the country's crude steel production amounted to 3.3 million tons, declined by 11% year-on-year.
Meanwhile, the country's exports of finished steel products totaled 2.15 million tons in the first seven months of this year, down by 8% year-on-year.
In the given period of time, the imports totaled 2.1 million tons, fell by 4.5%, year-on-year.
