Shanghai Copper slightly up on pre election caution

SHANGHAI (Scrap Monster): Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) copper made small gains on Thursday on investor caution ahead of the Greek election on Sunday.

Shanghai Futures Exchange September copper settled at 54,060 yuan ($8,513) per tone, advanced 100 yuan from the previous trading day.

As per a Shanghai analyst, "Copper is struggling to consolidate before the Greek election. The market is expected to remain quiet until the weekend."
