Houston firm reaches new milestone in E-waste recycling

AUSTIN (Scrap Monster): R.A.K.I Computers Recycling has reached an important milestone by recycling approximately 200 tons of electronic waste during the year 2014. By doing so, it has successfully kept huge quantities of used electronics out of landfills. The collected e-waste includes traditional equipment such as desktop and printers and various other electronic waste from industrial markets.

The company had launched a series of E-cycling events to promote sustainable electronics recycling among Houston residents, which obviously resulted in higher collection rates. The company had urged residents to ensure that the old electronic goods land in a responsible recycling center whenever new goods are purchased. R.A.K.I had undertaken special campaign programmes to this effect during holiday season. The company aims to increase its recycling efforts further during the year 2015.
