China's Lead Smelters under Greater Pressure from New Environmental Regulations

BEIJING (SMM): China’s recently promulgated a National Plan for Addressing Climate Change (2014-2020), its first mid-long term plan for tackling climate change.

Promulgation of the Plan follows the recent sharp hike in charges for effluent and exhaust discharges and comes nearly 100 days earlier that the scheduled implementation of China’s new Environmental Protection Law.
