WASHINGTON (Scrap Monster): The USITC (US International Trade Commission) took its determinations in its five year reviews dealing with Carbon and Certain Alloy Steel Wire Rod from Trinidad and Tobago, Moldova, Mexico, Indonesia, Brazil and Ukraine.
The commission made a positive determination regarding the existing countervailing duty order on carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod from Brazil and anti dumping duty orders on the products from Trinidad and Tobago, Moldova, Mexico, Indonesia, Brazil and Ukraine. They found that the cancelling of orders would probably lead to the reoccurrence of material injury in the foreseeable time and they decided to retain the existing orders as such.
But, the commission made a negative decision regarding the existing anti dumping duties on the products from Ukraine, as they found that the revoking of the order would not make any continuation of material injury. So they decided to revoke the existing anti dumping duties on the products from Ukraine.
