BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The leading Taiwanese wire rod producer-Yieh Hsin has announced cut in list prices for carbon steel wire rods for November. The company has decided to cut its list prices by NT$300 to NT$600 per ton for November deliveries.
According to the company press release, the list prices for AI-killed wire rods will be reduced by NT$600 per ton. The prices of rimmed wire rods will also see cut of NT$600 per ton for November. Meanwhile, the list prices of Blast Furnace killed wire rods will be reduced by NT$300 per ton.
After cuts, the list price of AI-killed wire rods will be NT$20,300 per ton. The prices for rimmed wire rod will be NT$20,000 per ton whereas those of BF-killed wire rods will be NT$19,700 per ton.
Earlier Feng Hsin-one of the major electric furnace mills in Taiwan had announced to cut its wire rod prices by NT$400 per ton for November. Accordingly, the base price for SAE 1008 AI-killed steel wire rod will be NT$19,800, whereas its actual selling price in market will be about NT$18,800 to NT$19,300 per ton.
