ASR wire rod mill has won a gold achievement award in RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2014 for maintaining good site’s occupational health and safety management systems and practices.

SHEFFIELD (Scrap Monster): ASR wire rod mill has won a gold achievement award in RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2014 for maintaining good site’s occupational health and safety management systems and practices. This is an annual award undertaken by RoSPA for recognizing the commitment of the companies for improving accident and ill health prevention at work.
ASR Rod Mill is an integral part of the Outokumpu Group, located in Sheffield. ASR CEO Mika Seitovirta said that safety is their first priority. They believe that all kinds of accidents can be prevented, and their target was zero accidents. The Ambitious targets spurred us to develop our safety measures on a continuous basis and they have an outstanding track record on the occupational health and safety. So, they are extremely proud in getting the latest recognition from RoSPA.
RoSPA is the short name for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents. Its aim is to save lives and reduce accidents and injuries. Outokumpu’s ASR wire rod Mill in Sheffield employs about 114 professionals. They have the production of steel billet, wire rod and steel bar of highly finished quality.
